Set Up an AI Voice Agent in Minutes by Importing Your Website

The hardest part of setting up an AI calling agent used to be the blank page. Now you paste your website address, and ExoCall writes the first draft for you.

An AI voice agent is only as good as what it knows about your business. Your courses and fees, your clinic timings, your refund policy, how customers can pay — if it isn't in the agent's instructions, the agent can't say it. Writing all of that from scratch is where most setups stall.

But you've already written most of it — on your website. ExoCall's new Import from website reads your site and turns it into a ready-to-review AI agent: persona, opening lines, and a Business Knowledge section written for speaking on the phone.

Key Takeaway

Enter your website address in ExoCall Settings. In 20–40 seconds, ExoCall reads up to 12 of your most useful pages and drafts your Agent Persona, Business Knowledge, and inbound and outbound opening instructions — using only facts from your site, with a list of anything it couldn't find. Review, apply, fill the gaps, and make a test call.

What the Import Creates for You

FieldWhat ExoCall drafts
Agent PersonaYour agent's name, role, warm and professional tone, the languages it should speak, and a reminder to keep replies short.
Business KnowledgeCompany overview, every product, service, course or plan with its price (up to about 25), 5–12 questions real callers ask with answers, policies, contact details and hours, and payment options.
Inbound Opening InstructionHow the agent answers a call — the exact first line with the agent and business name.
Outbound Opening InstructionHow the agent starts a call it makes: who it is, why it's calling, and whether it's a good time to talk.
Missing infoA short list of things your website doesn't say, like "Refund policy" or "Payment options (UPI, bank transfer)".

How to Set Up Your Agent From Your Website

  1. 1

Open Settings in your ExoCall dashboard.

Find the "Set up your agent from your website" box. If you shared your website when you requested your free trial, it's already filled in.

  2. 2

Enter your website address and import.

For example www.yourbusiness.in. ExoCall reads up to 12 pages — pricing, courses, services, FAQs, about, contact, policies — and skips login, cart and checkout pages.

  3. 3

    Wait 20–40 seconds.

You'll see a short summary of your business and how many pages were read.

  4. 4

Review each field side by side.

Open Agent Persona, Business Knowledge and both opening instructions to compare the draft with what you have now. Tick the ones you want and apply.

  5. 5

    Fill in what's missing.

Anything on the "Not found on your website" list — add it by hand in Business Knowledge.

  6. 6

Make a test call to your own phone.

The last step of the Get Started checklist. Ask the questions your customers ask, and adjust anything that sounds off.

Built to Be Spoken, Not Read

A website is written for eyes. A phone agent speaks. So the import rewrites your content for the ear:

Why It Never Makes Things Up

An AI agent that confidently quotes the wrong fee is worse than one that says "let me check". So the import follows one strict rule: use only facts stated on your website or in the text you paste. No invented prices, timings, addresses, offers or guarantees. If something isn't there, it goes on the missing-info list instead.

The Business Knowledge it writes also ends with an "If you don't know" rule for the agent: when a caller asks about something not covered, the agent doesn't guess — it says it will check with the team, notes the question, and says someone will call them back.

No Website? Paste Your Details Instead

Plenty of great businesses run on WhatsApp and word of mouth. Choose "No website? Paste your business details instead" and paste anything you have — brochure text, a price list, your courses or products, FAQs, address, timings and payment details. The same import turns it into a draft agent. This also helps when a website is built entirely in JavaScript and comes back nearly empty.

Your Agent Won't Go Live Half-Finished

ExoCall now checks that your agent is ready before it takes or makes a single call. It needs an Agent Persona, real Business Knowledge (not the example template), and both opening instructions. Until then, the Get Started checklist shows exactly what's left:

  1. Verify your mobile number
  2. Request your free trial
  3. ExoCall activates your number and trial
  4. Set up your AI agent — this is where Import from website saves you the most time
  5. Make a test call to your own phone

Bottom Line

You shouldn't have to become a prompt engineer to use an AI calling agent. Your website already describes your business — ExoCall now turns it into an agent that can talk about it, and tells you honestly what it still needs to know.

Available now in Settings

You can run up to 5 imports a day. Nothing is saved until you review and apply it, so try it as often as you like while you fine-tune.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up an AI voice agent from my website?

In ExoCall, open Settings and use "Set up your agent from your website". Enter your website address and click import. In 20–40 seconds ExoCall reads up to 12 pages of your site and drafts your Agent Persona, Business Knowledge (company, products and prices, FAQs, policies, contact details, payment options) and the inbound and outbound opening instructions. You review each one, tick the fields you want, and apply them.

Will the AI invent prices or details that aren't on my website?

No. The import is instructed to use only facts stated on your website or in the text you paste — never to invent prices, timings, addresses, phone numbers, offers or policies. Anything it can't find goes on a "Not found on your website" list, so you know exactly what to add by hand.

What if my website is built in JavaScript or I don't have one?

Some websites load all their text with JavaScript, so a reader sees almost nothing. If that happens — or if you don't have a website — choose "Paste your business details instead" and paste anything about your business: brochure text, a price list, courses or products, FAQs, address, timings and payment details (at least a few lines).

Which pages of my website does ExoCall read?

It starts from the address you give and reads up to 12 pages, picking the ones most useful to a phone agent first — pages about pricing, fees, plans, courses, services, products, FAQs, about, contact, locations, admissions, hours and policies. It skips login, cart, checkout and account pages, and files like PDFs and images.

Can my AI agent take calls before it is fully set up?

No. ExoCall only lets the agent take or make calls once it has an Agent Persona, real Business Knowledge (not the example template), and both opening instructions. The Get Started checklist shows exactly what's left, so callers never reach an agent that knows nothing about your business.
